About the White Center Block Party

At its heart, the White Center Block Party is a celebration of local culture—showcasing the restaurants, bars, shops, artists, and musicians that make our neighborhood unique.

The White Center Block Party was born out of a collective desire to uplift and support our neighborhood in a time of need. After a string of devastating fires and ongoing vandalism that hit the heart of our retail core, a group of local business owners and neighbors came together to show that White Center is still standing strong—and worth celebrating.

What began as a grassroots effort to raise funds for impacted businesses has grown into an annual tradition. Now in its third year, the Block Party continues to be a safe, inclusive, and family-friendly event that highlights the vibrant culture of White Center. From restaurants and bars to artists, musicians, and makers, the event brings together the best of our local and regional talent—all in one place.

The Block Party is proudly organized by the White Center Business Alliance (WCBA), a nonprofit formed to support the businesses and community of White Center. Our volunteer team is made up of small business owners and neighbors who are committed to strengthening and celebrating our diverse neighborhood.

All proceeds from the Block Party go directly toward covering event costs—permits, performers, logistics—with a portion set aside to help fund future neighborhood events (like last year’s Trick or Treat celebration). Any remaining funds are donated to local nonprofit organizations doing meaningful work in our community.
